In 1966, Bottero started manufacturing glass
container forming equipment and achieved an important and
exclusive goal: to serve the full range of the glass industry
supplying both sheet glass and hollow ware production
machinery.
Some years later, due to steady growth and acquisition of
substantial market share, The Hollow Glass Division was
created as a fully fledged operational unit with world-wide
market coverage. Today Bottero's customer list includes the
major glass bottle making industries and Bottero's equipment
are operating in more than 40 countries around the world.
The Hollow Glass Division home base is the Cuneo plant, where
a staff exceeding 200 people attends to all the phases of the
manufacturing process, from engineering design to final
testing before shipment.
In the late eighties, the need to cater for a growing market
segment brought to the foundation of Revimac, a subsidiary
company based near Vicenza, where glass forming equipment are
overhauled and updated.
The major strength of the Hollow Glass Division is the
capability of completing all the manufacturing activities till
the finished product independently.
Engineering and machining of the mechanical
componenets, design of hardware and software of the control
systems, assembly and test-run of the equipment are all
carried out within the premises of the Cuneo plant.
Flexibiliy is another key feature that
basically contributed to the growth of the Hollow Glass
Division in the market place.
The experience gained through the years
enables today the Hollow Glass Division to satisfy the needs
of every customer in compliance with the safely rules and
without compromise as far as the reliability and the
performance of the equipment are concerned.
The severe operating conditions of the
hollow glass plants require constant care and assintance to
keep the forming machines running 24 hours a day throughout
the year. The Hollow Glass Division customer
service is renowed for the reliability of its staff of
experienced and skilled engineers supporting the industry for
that need. The Cuneo plant is equipped with
adequate training facilities to enable the customer personnel
to familiarize with the equipment. Further training assistance
is provided by service engineers deployed to site for
supervision of installation and commisioning. The
customer service is the final link of the chain of "turn-key"
duties performed by the Hollow Glass Division to serve the
container glass industry now and in the future.
